I hope that in the past week you have found some new and cost effective ideas to help you update your wardrobe and home, but please let me know if there is anything that you would like to see more of, or if there is any item in particular that you need help finding at a reasonable price.
And speaking of reasonable prices, today's post is about Homegoods! Homegoods is one of my favorite stores because you never know what kind of treasure you will find when you go there. After each of one my trips to Homegoods I am always pleasantly surprised to find something completely unique and affordable that I never even knew I needed! Now maybe I need to get a life, but to me, this experience makes shopping at Homegoods a huge thrill!
This Friday I went to visit my family in Connecticut and I decided to stop in at the Homegoods in Westport to see what they had in stock. Here is a slideshow of a few great finds that I spotted while walking around the store...
Kelly Green Zebra Bucket, $19.99. This would be a great addition to your next outdoor summer party, and it has a little more character than your average metal bucket for keeping beverages icy cold!
White and Navy Straw Mirror, $19.99. I love this mirror's subtle nautical character...it would look great in any beach house, and it would add dimension to a mostly white or neutral bedroom.
Blue and White Ginger Jar, $19.99. What a beautiful blue and white ginger jar! If you have been coveting a more expensive version like this one, this is a gorgeous and inexpensive alternative. I'm actually currently experiencing a bad case of Homegoods shopper's remorse, I.E, "What was I thinking?? Why didn't I buy this awesome ginger jar when I had the chance?!" Don't let this happen to you!
Chocolate Brown and Ivory Lamps, $29.99. As some of you may know already, Homegoods usually has a great selection of affordable lamps, but these stood out to me because not only is the base good looking, but the shade is too. Sometimes the shades on HG lamps need an update, but not here. Double score! Wouldn't one of these ivory lamps with the solid chocolate brown shade look great in a nursery with some fun hippo bedding like this DwellStudio set from Target?
Chocolate Brown and Ivory Quatrefoil Print Rug, 5 X 8, $199. This was probably my favorite sighting of the day! This beautiful basic patterned rug could serve as a neutral backdrop in several different settings. If I had room for this rug in my apartment there is a good chance that it would have come home with me. To me this rug is just as beautiful as this similar version, but at a fraction of the price!
Would you like to see occasional updates on what's new at Homegoods in the future?
Did you make a trip to Homegoods this weekend and find anything good that I missed at my local store?!
