Back in the day when I used to go school supply shopping with my mom at Caldor (yes that is a blast from the past), the choices were fairly limited. Sure, I got to choose whatever spiral notebooks I wanted to put in my JanSport backpack, but still, my color options were usually black, a dark teal, or a deep maroon that was a far far cry from purple. Do you all remember those days?
Well this weekend I took a trip up to the new Target on 117th street, (yes I am dying from the excitement of finally having a Target in Manhattan) and I made a point to walk down every aisle to see what the store had in stock. Although I don't need any new notebooks for fall this year, I was shocked to see how Mead and other companies have updated the classic spiral notebook. There are so many fun options now! Long gone are the days when teal and maroon are your only option for color. Here are a few of my favorites! (and I apologize for the poor nature of these photos...I didn't bring my camera with me, and the store was packed so it was hard to find a spot to take pictures!)

Aren't these notebooks adorable? Although I luckily don't have to take notes in class any time soon, if I did, I think that one of these fun and color notebooks would definitely make the process a little more enjoyable. In fact, I liked this last set of greenroom Tetra printed books so much that they came home with me! Don't you just love the pink and orange, and the brown and pink? The pink and orange is currently on my desk at work, and it is already getting some good use!
