While I already miss many of the conveniences of the city, I'm excited to have a new space to decorate and furnish...luxe for less style of course!
One of the big perks of our new place is that we live within five minutes of a Target! Of course I had to take a trip there yesterday, and I saw plenty of fun luxe for less steals that I plan on picking up for our new home soon. One of my favorite finds from yesterday was this gorgeous red wooden box for $19.99!
I always have my eye out for pretty decorative boxes to add to one of our many bookcases. We have so many books that I love to display, but I find that in order for a bookshelf to look polished, you need to balance it out with a few other decorative accents along with your books. For more on how to decorate a bookshelf, Coastal Living has a helpful how to article on how to style a bookshelf here.
Or check out the always inspirational Jenny Komenda of Little Green Notebook. She has a great post on how to style a bookshelf. One of the bookshelves she features in this post is a fresh and colorful living room designed by Ashley Mcaleer. Isn't this bookshelf gorgeous? So many different odds and ends that when placed carefully look so wonderful together! I have a few very inexpensive vases that I like to add to bookshelves like the turquoise vase is used here. I like the height and curved lines they offer to balance out the straight and heavy lines of the books.
