This week while reading one of my favorite design magazines, athome Fairfield County, I came across Donna Craft's gorgeous home in Fairfield, CT. Donna is an expert entertainer and also a very active philanthropist. Upon moving into this gorgeous 7 acre estate in Fairfield she put careful thought into each element of the home, especially the pool house.
To build a pool house that would be functional, but also serve as a serene escape at home, she hired architect John Wicko to design the house, and Dovecote Design in Westport to handle the interiors.

Isn't it gorgeous?
I love the light and calm feel of the pool house's interior that was achieved by incorporating a background of white walls, a varying scale of windows, and a variety of Lucite furniture.
And the perfect accents for this calm setting are the bold turquoise, cobalt blue, and orange decorative accessories that are scattered throughout the house.
