14 months ago to this very day I experienced a life changing event. For those of you who know me, and think that I am speaking of my wedding day, that was a very good guess but NO...that's not it.
The day I am speaking of is when my husband and I arrived at the One and Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas for our honeymoon, and I experienced for the first time the pure luxury of Frette linens and towels. While I could probably go on for days about the pure bliss that is the One and Only Ocean Club, today I will focus on their fabulous selection of Frette bedding and bath products!
The One and Only Ocean Club, Paradise Island, Bahamas
The Ocean Club outfits each of its rooms exclusively with Frette linens, pillows, robes, slippers, and towels, and all I can say about the craftsmanship and comfort of this line of luxurious linens is....wow. The quality of these incredible linens had such an impression on me, that after our trip I was insistent that our everyday sheets would no longer do, and we HAD to get our own set of Frette linens!
Now my husband is certainly not the kind of guy who spends a lot of time thinking about fine linens, towels, or slippers. He is definitely way more interested in baseball stats than thread count, so I knew my chances of convincing him to splurge on a set of luxurious linens were not good. But to my surprise after our stay at the Ocean Club, the allure of Frette Linens definitely got the best of his practical side, and he agreed that we should save up to buy our own set of $360 Frette linens when we got home from our trip! And let me tell you, that is saying something about these sheets!
Now was I still on my honeymoon dreaming...or were we really going to indulge in such an out of this world extravagance??
Well one month later, and no Frette sheets to show for, we ended up at the Woodbury Common Outlets. I did my usual loop at the outlets where I hit up all of my favorite shops, when out of the corner of my eye I saw it...a Frette outlet! I ran into the store faster than my lips could say "old torn sheets no more" and I was thrilled to find an amazing selection of drastically reduced fine linens and bath items. In fact, the deals were so good, I don't think I could take out my credit card fast enough!
What a wonderful selection of linens, towels, robes, and pillows. In my opinion none of the products at this outlet were damaged, and we have been extremely happy with everything we have found at this store. And what's even better are the prices! Most of the items here are up to 80% off.
The queen set of sheets we bought were originally $360, but a mere $60 at the outlet.
The duvet cover we bought was originally $400, and only $80 at the outlet!
And the pillows, which are so good they cause me to hit the snooze button way more times than I would like, were marked down from $100 to $40 each!
I also saw a bedskirt marked down from $995 to $149, and bath sheets marked down from $65 to $13.
Can you believe these prices???
This truly is an incredible resource for anyone who wants Luxe Linens for Less!
Just imagine, by placing an order with the Frette outlet you can have fine Italian linens for the price of what most freshman boys spend on their "extra long" twin sheet set! And when you think about how much time we spend sleeping, this really is an important area of your home to splurge on.
If you would like to visit or contact the Frette Outlet about placing an order, you can find them at:
Frette Outlet 498 Red Apple Court Central Valley, NY 10917 (845) 928-4866
After upgrading to this luxurious brand of linens it will be hard for us ever to back to every day sheets. Do you have a luxe linen extravagance that you can't live without?
Yesterday I had a long to-do list for the weekend like laundry, cleaning the apartment, shopping for groceries, etc...but when I received a call from cousins that they were going to the Woodbury Common Outlets, how could I resist my boring to-do list and meet them for some Saturday afternoon shopping?!
Before we left I also made sure to remind them about the Premium Outlets VIP Club! Premium Outlets has centers around the country, and there is a good chance that they have a shopping center within driving distance of you.
Signing up for their VIP Club is free, and it gives you access to online coupons, and vouchers for the Premium Outlets coupon book. All you have to do is sign up online, then print the voucher and go to their service desk to pick up the coupon book before you start shopping. The VIP coupon book gives you access to even better deals than you can already find at your favorite outlets, and you are allowed to use these coupons on top of the already great reductions that you will find at the Premium Outlets center.
Yesterday we had a fun and productive day of shopping, and we were able to get even BETTER deals my using our VIP coupon books!
For today's Thursday Shopping segment I am featuring another great outlet that I came across last year in my shopping travels. Today's post is on the Vineyard Vines outlet at Woodbury Common Outlets in Central Valley, NY.
Vineyard Vines is one of my favorite clothing companies because of its classic style and the great quality of their products. Shep and Ian, the company's founders, describe the Vineyard Vines' philosophy as, "quite simple, we make quality products that people like to wear and offer the best customer service possible. On top of that we have fun and we know our customers do too." Who wouldn't want to shop at a store like that?
The Vineyard Vines outlet is a great place to shop for this company's products because they have a wide selection of Women, Men, and Children items, and in my opinion, the majority of the items all seem to be regular stock with no obvious defects.
So if you would like to buy a Vineyard Vines polo for your dad for his birthday, and if $62 is a little steep for you to spend on a gift, why not call or go to the Vineyard Vines outlet? You can buy a VV polo at the outlet for just $34.99! My husband has a pink VV polo that we bought at the outlet last August for this price and you would never know that it wasn't full price! It was a great purchase.
The Vineyard Vines outlet carries many of the items that you can currently find in their stores, but it also has past season items too. Here are a few items you might find at the VV outlet in case you want to stop by or call them to inquire about a phone order!

And one more reason I am so fond of Vineyard Vines...
The men in our wedding all wore Vineyard Vines ties, and needless to say, they looked great!

If you want a great deal on your favorite designer goods, one of your best bets is to visit the store's outlet branch. Living in New York City, I am lucky to be located in close proximity to a variety of different outlets. In this new feature "Outlet Spotlight" I will focus on a variety of designer brands and visit their outlets so that I can update you on their latest promotions, and what they currently have in stock.
The first store I will be featuring is the Tory Burch Outlet at the Woodbury Common Outlets in Central Valley, NY. Tory Burch only has three outlets, and I am very happy that one of them is within an hour drive of my apartment! Tory Burch's designs are both classic and eclectic, stylish, but also functional. She has the amazing ability to make a basic pair of ballet flats a cult classic staple, and a simple canvas bag versatile and chic enough to carry from the office to the beach. It's no wonder that so many of my friends (myself included) are absolutely enamored with Ms. Burch and everything she designs.
Here are a few of my favorite things from my last trip to the Tory Burch outlet about a week ago....
Navy and Pink Tunic.$97.50. (Orig. $195) Brown and White 3/4 Sleeve Dress.$270. (Orig. $450) Camel Simone Cardigan.$135. (Orig. $225) Coral Sleeveless Blouse.$117. (Orig. $195) Elephant Tote Bag.$174. (Orig. $234) Purple and Ivory Ruffle Shift Dress.$169. (Orig. $495) Patent Reva Flats.$164. (Orig. $195) Green and Navy Halter Dress. $195. (Orig. $595) All Denim...only $59.99!
And these were just a few of the highlights...the outlet carries a variety of handbags and shoes, including heels, wedges, and flip flops. They also have a great selection of dresses, cotton polos and tees, pants, sweaters, jewelry, and of course the classic TB tunic!
If you are interested in any of these items, or any of the other items that the Tory Burch outlet has in stock, you can call them at: (845) 928-2886. The person who helped me was incredibly nice, and she told me that they are happy to take phone orders and ship items if you do not live in driving distance of the store.
In the future, it will always be my goal to highlight outlets that take phone items and ship from the store so that you can have a chance to buy everything that you see here!
Do you have a favorite outlet or store that you would like reviewed in Outlet Spotlight? If so, please let me know!
