Jack Rogers are without a doubt my favorite summer sandal.  This classic and elegant shoe was born in the lovely isle of Capri, and became popular in America by Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

Even though Jack Rogers are on the expensive side for a sandal, I think they are worth the splurge because of their versatility - in my book they go with almost any summer outfit.  And anyone who has a few pairs of Jacks knows that this stylish sandal rarely goes on sale, but this weekend Lord and Taylor is offering 25% off almost their entire stock for their Friends and Family sale.  The promo code for the sale is FRIENDS.

I think given this generous discount it is the perfect time to scoop up a pair of Jack Rogers.  The classic Jack Rogers Navajo sandal usually retails for $105, but with this discount they are down to $78.75!

Here are three looks for the weekend that each incorporate a different Navajo sandal - each item in these looks is $60 or less - except for the sandals...

Will you be picking up a new pair of Jack Rogers this weekend?

Happy summer shopping!

This lightweight slub henley from Michael Stars would make a great top for summer...except for the price tag that is close to $100!
LUXE

LESS

Earlier in the week I featured two looks for summer, and my weekend look included this slub henley tank top from Banana Republic that is only $29.50, and this weekend everything at BR online is an additional 30% off with the code BREXCUSE making it just $21.50!

I may just have to pick one up today!

Every year I find that some how my beloved t-shirts that I adored so much the year before always seem to lose their shape the following year...don't you agree?!  So come springtime I'm always on the hunt for a lightweight cotton T that can be my go to basic top to pair with jeans and shorts over the summer.

Well a few weeks ago I picked up this comfy cotton t-shirt from the Gap in grey and I'm in love!
This t-shirt runs a little large so I would go with your normal size or size down.  I dry everything completely now that I'm doing laundry for three and a little time in the dryer made my regular size the perfect fit.

I like this T so much because it is has a slight scoop neck and the arms are in between the length of a tank top and a regular tee.  I think that this cut of neckline and sleeve is very flattering and less constraining than your average short sleeve T, but it also provides a little bit of coverage too.

This t-shirt retails for $19.95 which is not bad, but you know the Gap always has some kind of promotion going these days so I'm sure you can scoop it up for a little less!  I have to go back to buy it in white - I know I will wear that all summer long!

And in the meantime of course I had to get the nautical coral stripe version when I saw it...you know I love a good striped tee!
Do you have a favorite new t-shirt for summer?

Sorry to be gone for so long!  I hope you all had a great long weekend.

Whenever the warm weather hits I cannot wait to break out my favorite bright accessories, white jeans, and summer dresses.

Here are two looks - work and weekend - to get you ready for the summer weather!

Almost every item featured here is $70 or less except for the white denim from J.Crew.  I think a good pair of white jeans is definitely worth splurging on, and I love my J.Crew white denim!

Here is my summer look for work...

And a more casual look for the weekend - I can't tell you how much I love this straw tote from the Gap!

Did you pick up any great deals for your summer wardrobe this weekend?

This weekend I made my first trip to the Short Hills Mall - I must officially be a Jersey girl now right?!

The Short Hills Mall is no joke - Van Cleef Arpels, Hermes, Neiman Marcus, Tory Burch - this mall is home to just about every designer brand that I love!

But even though I took a short detour to drool over some beautiful baubles and enamel bangles, the reason for my trip was to buy a new pair of summer sandals.

This LUXE pair from Tory Burch immediately caught my eye, but at $195 it's price point is a little steep for sandals...
Then I saw this embellished black pair of sandals for LESS from Banana Republic that is just $69...
And this pair from Sam Edelman for $65...

Do you think either of these styles are comparable to the Tory pair, and is $65-$69 for a pair of simple summer sandals LUXE OR LESS in your opinion?

Happy belated Mother's Day to all you moms out there!  I hope that you all enjoyed a relaxing Mother's Day with your families this weekend.

One of my gifts from my sweet husband was this Chewbeads necklace that I had been hinting at for awhile....
My daughter has been putting everything in her mouth lately, including my favorite bangles and necklaces, and so I wanted something that was a little more child friendly than my DY bracelets for her to suck on!

I love this basic black necklace, but Chewbeads offers a variety of styles and colors too...I think I may be in the market for one of their pink or turquoise necklaces soon!  Here is a peak at some of the other styles and colors they have to offer...
My daughter loves the way this necklace tastes, and I love being able to wear jewelry without worrying about it breaking in her mouth - and at less than $40 it is relatively affordable!

Have you tried any special jewelry made for teething with your little one?  Here are a few other pieces of jewelry just for teething that I have my eye on!

One of my close friends recently told me how much she loved her Rock Star Skinny color denim jeans from Old Navy, and upon her recommendation I of course went straight to the Old Navy website to scoop up a pair.  Once I got there I was disappointed to discover that these jeans were sold out in almost every size.  After perusing Old Navy's site tonight I just saw that they have replenished their stock in color denim - and now in lighter more pastel colors for spring.  The Rock Star Pop Color Jean is just $34.50

I have not tried these jeans on myself but I plan on buying a pair tonight!

I have slowly been seeing more and more Mother's Day sales pop up this month, and today I'm sharing two of my favorite shops on Etsy that rarely go on sale that are doing a promotion this week!

Annechovie

I have featured Anne Hartwell's delightful online shop several times in this space.  Anne's shop on Etsy features her original artwork in many different forms including prints, pillows, and matchbooks.  Anne's work includes chinoserie elements that are always classic and timeless.

Anne is offering her readers 20% off with the code MOMS20.

Here is just one of Anne's beautiful original prints...
Devon Baer also offers her spectacular collection of original jewelry, tunics, belts, and purses on Etsy.

Devon is offering 15% off everything in her online shop through May 10.  Just click here and sign up to be added to her email list and you will receive the code.

Devon has classic, polished, and preppy down to a tee...I just bought these turquoise studs a few weeks ago and I love them!  Turquoise is a neutral if you ask me - it just seems to go with everything!

Have you found any great Mother's Day deals this month?

Stay tuned tomorrow for my top picks for mom for all you last minute shoppers...like me! :)

It's that time of year again...the always anticipated Kentucky Derby!  From a "mint julep" necklace to a fun and affordable pink straw hat here are a few home and fashion accessories to help you celebrate the Derby in style tomorrow - all for $85 0r less!

If you have followed this blog for awhile than you have probably picked up on the fact that I love stripes!  In fact I've started to collect so many striped items in my closet that I need to seriously consider every striped purchase I make now...

When I saw this easy and light striped dress at J.Crew I new this was a look that I wanted to wear this spring...but I was not going to spend $188 on it!
LUXE
Then I spotted this dress from Lilly Pulitzer which I love, but at almost a $100 it was still a little steep for me!
LESS
Then I spotted this boatneck version at Old Navy!  At $15 I think we have a winner!

"LESSER"
Now I'm just torn between the black and white stripe or the navy and green stripe...what do you think?
